Inexpensive Post-workout convenience. |

While many would suggest having a lower GI source of post workout carbs, sometimes people forget how busy we can get.
In my opinion, dextrose is a great thing to have on hand in case you need to throw it in a shake for carb replenishment after a streneous workout. It makes your shakes taste amazing too. All you need is a small amount, 40grams of carbs from dextrose and you're good.

Good For During Workouts |

I used to use dex. as my post-WO carb until I read research on it's propensity for fat deposition (vs. low glyciemic index carbs).
But, it has great research backing using it during workouts to help with strength and endurance.
It's very sweet. So, don't mix too much of it. Oh - and look out for the sugar crash about 45 mins. later.

Greating Product ever made! |

If you like creatine transports, but dont have the money, this is the greatest product made. Very easy way to get fast acting carbs post workout! This will save you boat loads of money.. now you can easily make your own cell tech. Comes in bags, which make handleing very easy. Its so easy, and seems like it lasts forever. Very easy to measure, and the powder is very fluffy. Own downside is, if your fingers are wet, it gets sticky.
Very good product IMO. Will continue to buy, as long as i lift! If you understand pwo nutrition, this product is for you, if not, read up on the effects of high gi carbs post workout

Cheapest Quick-Acting Carb Source |

This is the cheapest and most effective quick-acting carb source that I know. Easy to measure, pour and mixes quickly. Ideal for post, during, post or morning protein shakes to assist with the uptake of the protein and other items that might be mixed in your shake such as creatine. Sweet tasting without tasting too sweet.
Typical dosages - 1 to 2 g per gram of protein in your shake, depending on your goals/gains. I go with 1 g per gram of protein since a 2 to 1 ratio makes me gain unwanted fat unless I take some Glucophase 30 minutes prior to keep my insulin levels under control.
