GABA (gamma aminobutyric acid) is a non-essential amino acid found mainly in the human brain and eyes. It is considered an inhibitory neurotransmitter, which means it regulates brain and nerve cell activity by inhibiting the number of neurons firing in the brain. GABA is referred to as the "brain's natural calming agent". I have been on prescription stress meds for 10 years when I had carpal tunnel and surgery and never able to get off them. I started using 200mg of L-Theanine every 3 hours during the day and 1/2 teaspoon Gaba powder at night (when I first started I used it 2 times a night) and it is wonderful!
I went from jittery, shaky and thinking about everything all the time to wonderful.
